That sir, is just silly. If you changed that up just a little bit, and say they'll go down as the best team in the salary cap era, ok, fine. A lot depends on how you define it... Best team over a 3-5 year period? Early 90s Cowboys. Best team in a single season? '89 49ers? '85 Bears? '92 Cowboys? Any of those teams would CRUSH the Patriots of the past few years.

Heh, no I don't think they were. First of all, all the teams I mentioned played more games during the season than the 72 Dolphins. The 72 Dolphins probably have to be in the top five because of what they were able to accomplish, but I wouldn't go so far as to call them the best team in any single season.
