Newly Set Up Tank Lots Of Small Bubbles

Hiya!

Ok well my bettas are coming tommorrow, and my 2 foot tank hasmillions of little bubbles in it. On the glass, heater and all over the fiter.

if i remember reading someone elses post right then its nothing to worry about, but can someone tell me what it is.

side note: i did not use dechlor, the water will sit in the tank overnight.

they're just nitrogen, CO2 and oxygen bubbles left over from where the tank has been saturated with air, during filling.

Its just air bubbles,nothing to worry about,these will disappear by tomorrow

I had it when i first filled my tank.

Run an airstone.
Don't add fish till the bubbles have disappeared.

Water in a newly filled tank will be supersaturated with gases and you will see the gas bubbles covering the inside of the tank. The more that the water is agitated as you are pouring it in for the first time, the less supersaturation you will have. Agitation of water releases gas from it. Normal aeration will speed up the time that it takes for this excess gas to leave the water. When the bubbles on the tank disappear, then it is safe to put your fish into the new water.
