Hello to all! I'm a newbie here, as well as a newbie fishkeeper. My 90 gal glass community tank is about four months old. We've got a "hillbilly" setup - the tank was given to us without the equipment, and we piece-mealed everything together - dh built a stand out of 2x4" lumber and plywood, we don't have a hood, we have a shop light hanging over the tank, we couldn't find a big enough filter so we have two, etc... Not bad for the amount of money invested, though. Had a few deaths due to ammonia poisoning so far (and a dh who didn't realize he couldn't add twelve fish at once, and just brought them home one night. And I'd planned a species tank, but he went all community with whatever fish he thought looked good at the time.) Looking forward to some good advice from the experienced aquarists.
