Hi there,

Got my new tank from Aylesford Aquatics last week with a lot of help and guidance it seems to be ok at the mo.

Everyone here seems to be really helpfull and the forum has supplied me with so much info it is mind bending !

Thanks in advance for the help I will surely need.....

welcome aboard my good.... person.
what sort of fish are you looking at getting

Have got 6 zebra danios at the moment, have just learnt from this forum that my tank is now cycling !

Was planning on getting more fish this weekend but think I will leave it a while till all is under control

Welcome!

You're doing well so far. My first bit of advice would be get a test kit. That will tell you when the cycle has ended. Then you can start adding more fish.
My next piece of advice would be to take it slowly. It's all too easy to go out to your lfs when your tank has cycled and say i'll have two of those, five of those, twelve of those and end up with more fish than the tank can take in one go.
My best suggestion would be to decide what you want to keep, and add a few at a time. Perhaps 5 tetras of some description, wait a week, get something else, wait a week. Might seem a bit long winded, but in most cases is the best way to stock the tank, plus you can identify any problems as they happen.

But in any case, welcome to the hobby, and have load of fun with your new fish!
