Newbie Betta Keeper

Got my frist betta today cant seem to get a good pic of him tonight. He is currently in a 2 gallon tank He is white and purplish in body and fades into a bluue at his fins then back to white at the tips.

I was curious if an airstone is a bad idea for a betta as it can mess up the bubble nest.

First congrats on your new betta, the air stone however is not necessary. Betta do not need the extra oxygen so invest in a quiet filter instead. Also some betta are spooked and frighten by the air and it can also stress out the betta by destroying his own bubbles.

Also please post a pic, I'd love to see him.
