Hello. I'm a new betta owner and I've lurked around here gleaning information for a while now. You guys were very helpful when I was studying up before my betta purchase. Well, I have had my betta, Apollo for over a month now. He is living happily in a 10 gallon, filtered, heated tank, with a feeding ring to help keep his surface water clean.

Sometime soon-ish I would like to add some cory catfish to the tank. Of course, I am not sure how Apollo will respond, but he doesn't spend a lot of time flaring at his reflection or anything. So, I am wondering how feeding will work out. Currently, Apollo is fed twice a day from his feeding ring and is given pellets, bloodworms and brine shrimp. Also, on Saturdays he fasts all day and then gets part of a pea in the evening. How will feeding work out when I add another fish to the mix--especially on Saturdays when he fasts? I am a total beginner at this, so maybe it is a really silly question.

Also, how many fish will fit in a 10 gallon? I don't want to approach the max or anything, I'm just curious.

Thanks so much!

White clouds are good. IT would be great to get 5-6 of them along with your betta. And/or a snail if he allows.
Yeah or a couple of corys i have a peppered and a bromze :)
