Hi Guys
I am in the process of setting up my 1st Aquarium
Jewel Rio 180
Tetratec ex700

tank / pump up and running now-- going out today to buy a few plants a prob 10-12 Neons to start things rolling

I have also pm'd a local guy who will hopefully donate some mature media to speed things along!

Hi and Welcome to the Forum!

Great that you've set-up your first tank. By all means get some plants to star tit along but please reconcider the idea of getting fish. Fish-less cycle is the way to go to get the best start possible. Fish-in cycles are hard and tedious work with far less margin for error. So in the fish's interests a fishless cycle is advisable.
