iam new to salt water marine ,i ve kept fresh water for some time and want to get in to salt water marines the question i am asking is i am looking at running a sump tank and would like some advice on what media to use and what order to use them in and also what is the best sump tank set up to use with a reef tank.

quite a lot of people use no media at all as it needs replacing or cleaning regularly. It can also reduce the water quality.

My sump has 3 sections
1 - water enter from main tank
heater
skimmer pump

2 - skimmer out
light
algae

3 - return pump
