New To Forum, Just Saying Hello

Hello everyone, my name is Wesley and I am just starting to get back into tanks again after about 15 years. I have noticed a few things different since I last had a tank but I am getting the swing back. I started back then with a 30 gal and 2 oscars that got to about the size of my hand before the dreadful day my heater went on the fritz while out of town for a few days. I know 30 gal was a bit small but I was in the process of planing for a 100 gal at the time. I am now starting back up with another 30 gal and gonna go from there. Going to build a canister filtration system and a custom background (hopefully) and post pics. Planning on filling with angels, gouramis, and tetras. I am also kicking around the idea of trying my hand at building an acrylic tank myself, advice on any thing will be most helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Yes the hardware and do it yourself is where I've been spending most of my time. As soon as I get the tank together I'm gonna post pics. Going to take pics as I go and post progression pics.
