New to Fish

Hey, I'm new to fish, and was looking into getting some Betta Fish, I can probably on get a 5 gallon tank right now. I was wondering, what are good fish to put with Betta Fish? Also, i wa slooking itno getting into breeding, But I'm sure that will come only after I get used to fish.

As i just learned breading betas is expensive and extensive. I would suggest a couple molies for now as they are hardy and give live birth. Don't be in too much of a hurry to bread them though untill you have at least a 20 gal tank. That would be bare minimum as they can have up to 100 fry for the bigger fish and 15 to 30 for the medium. I was able to raise them with a 10 and 20 gal tank and even then had to give several up as feeders to a friend with agressive fish. I was able to sell some but usually only enough to pay for a weeks worth of blood worms.
