Following my bettas being killed by a faulty heater :byebye: i now have a tank to restock ive cleaned it out and its currently cycling but i was thinking of getting gourami

Can i put dwarf gourami in a 7 gallon tank?

I was hoping to get 3 2 females and a male? any ideas?

I think that would be to small of a tank for the 3 fish. Maybe one, but my gouramis (2) seem to swim in a group. Why not go for another betta??? but make it a real planted tank (if it wasnt already!!)

You could put 1 male OR 2 females but not both as the male would probably drive the girls crazy. Anyway, if you realy want gouramies, in small tanks, I always suggest honeys (colisa chuna/sota). These aren't as territorial as dwarfs and slightly smaller. A male and 3 females would do very well and the male will develop wonderful coloring once in breeding condition. They are also great characters and adorable little fish. In a 7 gallon, you wouldn't realy have space for much else if you went for 4 altogether. However, if you went for a trio, you might be able to fit a few pygmy cories in as well OR a couple of otos.
