I added fish to tank yesterday and everything was fine but today we fed them a we bit Food and now they keep swimming to surface should I be worried they didn't swim t surface before an gasp 1 fish was spitting food out then re eatin

okay spitting food out and reeating is perfectly fine mine do that, but gasping for air is a problem and from my experience its is a cause of two things high nitrite in your water or low Oxygen levels, try having your filter disturb the surface of the water or turn an airstone on or get one somehow i had this problem twice with my fish because i forgot to turn airstone on or filter was not breaking surface of the water , with regards to nitrite level try testing your water if possible with a test kit,

just to check how long has this tank been setup for and ooh almost forgot welcome to the forums
