Okay so I have a 190L venizia and I had a 60 L running.
I am now using my 60 L filter in with my fluval 205 on the 190 Liter and running a fish in cycle. Before this becomes a thread trolling the fish in cycle and how I should of fishless cycled I know the implications of both and due to time restraints I can not afford to do the fishless cycle. I am aware of the maintenance for a fish in cycle and also I have briefed my wife up accordingly should it not be done by the time I go. She is happy with the maintenance during and once it becomes set up.
My question is this. With an established filter, even though it is small, how long theoretically should it take cycle my fluval 205 filter up so I can remove the small filter and restart my 60 L tank with shrimp?
I will be testing daily as I have only just put the fish and established filter on about 20 minutes ago.
Any ideas would be appreciated even though no one can say a definate as it is watch the results and suck it and see.
