New Tank

Just joined tff today and been to the welcome page to introduce myself and thought as i am new to keeping fish i would post a few pictures to see if there are any comments that might help me. Any feedback is welcome.

Looks great, less is always more and I like the way the rocks build towards the back. I would be tempted to replace the ornament on the right hand side with a live plant or more rocks and also add a black background.

What fish are in currently keeping?

looks good , if were mine i would put a , black , or blue background on !!! take a look a some tanks theres loads on here you can make your own mind up ...

Id go with the above if it were mine and add a dark background, it would finish it off a treat

Oh, id also turn the filter outlet up towards the surface, so it creates plenty of ripples

I agree with the above a black background would look cool and deffo lose the ornament on the right it just dosn,t look right imo.

Looking good would definatly put a background on black as always been my favourite

But I say do a bit of research as the colour can change the fishes mood and colour and have never kept these fish so don't now if this applies to them



Oh by the way I now dolphins are mammals but they might do better in the water

Thanks for the comments and yeah i thought the ornaments made it look a bit tacky so they have gone. The black background is up and wow the differance is amazing these little tips are great. I am keeping South African Cichlids I know the ones i have are only young and will change as they mature still trying to work out the males from the females lol. As always any feedback is welcome and here is some pictures of the new setup.
