Nothing wrong with a seccond hand tank as long as it's water tight! It's what you do with it that counts .

ive got fish to split up from my other tank so still be corys and tetras... will def be planted, maybe a darker substrate for the serpae tetras... have scrapped biorb, gone off crab idea for now... other half going on about terrapins, this will not happen lol will post pic in a bit of tank, no idea what it even looks like so fingers crossed

Sarah, it sounds like you already have it planned! Dark substrates are brilliant imo.

whats the sand people were talking about yesterday? saying that its as soft as playsand but comes in different colours?

No idea, i use Unipac sand and it is fantastic.
