Hi Katie,
There is no great rush, when you get a free slot in your busy schedule. Its the ammonia and nitrIte you have to really worry about.

Cool, gonna try nip out to lfs, not usually so hectic, but having to make a 'banjo cake' by 5! And working rounds kids today not making things easy.

I will do a water change tomorrow thanks for your help...how much of a water change should I do?

75% :good:

check ebay for the API testwater kit, you can normally pick a kit up for £20 including postage, they will keep you going for months. I've seen them sold in some shops for £33+ :\

water changes dont hurt in the slightest, just try and match the temperature of the tank and dechlorinate it.

Oh crikey that's a lot of buckets, or gonna have to invest in a bigger bucket lol mine holds 12 litres the tank is 190 litres.

So have I done my maths right that I need to take 145 ish litres out?

Many thanks

Katie :)
