New Tank

I recently got myself a new tank 48"x 15"x 24", I thought I would share some pictures of the finished setup

These are a couple of pictures of the hood that I was building for the tank. There is enough space for 2 more tubes to go in eventually.
White tube (36W) is at the back and the one attached to the hinged lid is a marine glo blue tube (40W):

The lid had to capable of holding ornaments , small price to pay really, I get the tank and Joy can put a couple of ornaments on top

This is it finished apart from some plants that I have ordered that will be arriving sometime this week

and with the blue light on at night

From start to finish about 3 hours

There are 3 Discus in there at the moment with 11 Penguin Tetras, 5 Ulreyi Tetras (soon to be 10) and until my next 39 gallon tank is ready nearly all my Cories and Brochis I also have 6 Iguanadectes Spilurus that I want to get in there eventually.
