I currently own a Juwel rio 125 tank , as you can see i am now at ( or slightly over ) my stocking limit , i am thinking of getting a juwel vision 180 tank ( 50% bigger ) would you reccomend one of these ? or does anyone have any other suggestions . if this happens it will not be for a few weeks / months yet .

Are you asking if it is ok to get a bigger tank??? Everybodies dream.

Hi,

I have a vision 180 and its a great tank. I also have a rio 400. Bigger is always better, buy a tank to fit the space you have but remember if you get a bigger tank you can also buy more fish  which is always a good thing. Shop around for juwel tanks as the prices vary a lot at different places. Also look on ebay as there are bargains to be found.

Emma ,
Thanks , would you agree my tank is now at its limit , or do you think it is over -stocked ? also with a vision 180 , how many more fish do you think i could have ?

Hi,

The general guide is to have an inch of adult size fish per gallon of water (this guide only applies to fish which grow 3 inches and less), i'm not sure of the adult size of some of you fish so i'll let you work that one out :S.

Here's a handy calculator to convert litres to gallons. The guide applies to US gallons http://mike-edwardes.members.beeb.net/converter.html

Emma :D

Thanks Emma
