New Tank Want To Put Fish Already

There's nothing inherently wrong with a fish in cycle. It requires the extra work in the form of many regular water changes, but there's no reason the fish should suffer if measures are taken to keep the water parameters at suitable levels. Panda corries wouldn't have been my first choice of fish to cycle with, but ho hum.

I bought plants too. I read on other threads that adding plants can help with the ammonia and nitrite.

Please have a good read of the guides in this sections, particularly the ones on fish-in and fishless cycling, they are a great help to us newbies to this hobby.

If you feel you must have your fish in your tank then please make sure you do everything you can to make them happy/ survive i.e. lots of water change!

If you read the fishless one and decide that this would actually be less work (and it is!) then could your BF put your fish in his tank until you are ready?
