my 10g is coming along nicely! today i put in some driftwood, java moss, and more java fern. sure made the ghost shrimp happy. the driftwood i got has some anubias nana on it, i think glued on. is that okay or will it die in that situation?
anyways probably going to put in some more, larger java fern and some hornwort this week. i might also get tetra safe start tuesday and put my fish in later this week if it actually finishes cycling

heres the stock im thinking of
6 black line rasboras
1 dwarf gourami
2 amano shrimp

Super glue is actually the method of choice for attaching ferns to wood. Usually only a few spots need to be attached and the point is to then let the other roots attach themselves naturally. The method relieves you of fiddling with string. Allow the glue to dry but keep the plant misted when doing this preparation. Mosses usually require string I believe.

The way to determine whether a fishless cycle has completed and the biofilter is therefor "qualified" is as follows: (you'll of course be at the 3rd stage of the fishless cycle, after the "nitrite spike" has subsided) If 4-5ppm of ammonia(NH3) can be reduced by the biofilter to zero ppm ammonia and zero ppm nitrite(NO2) within 12 hours of when the ammonia was dosed (as measured by a good liquid-reagent base kit, not paper strips) for 7 days running then the fishless cycle has completed and the biofilter and therefor tank are ready finally for fish.
