New Tank Set Up At Last.

Ok, you may have read my thread on the TFF tank project, and hrer it is!

Currently i have as equipment;

1x av mini

1x 50watt elite heater

1x Tetra IN300 300l/h filter (quite impresed with this actually)

Pictures to follow.

I have still got to get the plants and fish, but fish after i cycle the filter.

I will be doing a fish in cycle (because i have the time and i cant stand the smell of ammonia) with mature media crammed into all the spaces i can find to put it in.

I will have my female molly in there whilst cycling to give the other fish a chance to not be chased from glass to glass for a while.

Currently the tank is heating up to temp.

The flow control on filter, there is another dial round the other side. Whichever side is up the more towards the + the flow rate gets quicker etc...

just changed a load of water and put hot water in, now at 25C

Whats your stock list for it? Doesnt look big enough for fish, unless they are micro rasbora or something like that. Might make a nice shrimp tank though! I would position your heater on the back diagonally, its not a very efficient place to put it, where it is at the moment. Gloss Black on the back pane of glass would look good too!

PS, cycling a tank that small with fish is going to mean a lot of water changes, possibly twice a day.

it's 40 litres, stocklist is for 1 male betta and 4 dwarf cories.

Will move the heater

I know about the cycling, but i'm quite sensitive to ammonia, and i am willing to put the work in.

I am using all the new media and a big lump of old media crammed in.

These are all real plants BTW, they are in a string because they were growing off of another plant.
