New Tank, New Start!

I picked up my Fluval Roma today =]

set it all up with a pre-cycled filter and I love it!

I only have one problem =[...the gap between my top tank and the roma is a bit tight...oops...so its going to be a tough one getting things like ornaments in lol but im quite happy to let it be a heavily planted tank with maybe some rocks to provide shelter

It looks a little...artificial if thats the right word...right now but once i add more plants and things itll be fine =]

you will have to lift the whole top off, the flaps and the lights i have the same problem with mine ( bit of a pain but not like you need to do it every day is it

the white/green plants you have in there are not aquatic plants, they will take only a matter of weeks to start rotting and spoiling your water, plant them in houseplant soil and put them on the window out of direct sunlight....... hope i havent ruined your day

Looking good, you do need more plants.

Also since you said it looks artificial (normally i keep quiet when people havent asked for suggestions), you could try planting in random bunches, it may look more natural.

Unless of course you like it like that, then by all means, ignore me.

oh i meant to ask.. are running your filter up side down? i have a U4 and it looks to be the other way around ..... maybe i missed an option for it

One of my boys with that exact colouring is called The Captain lol (full name check my sig) Careful what you put in with him dont want him getting bullied.

Since you have enough vallis and its about the right height, you could try doing something like george farmers scape, "Harlequins haven"

that tank is beautiful =] ill get some more vallis when i swap those plants im also gonna add some anubias...i love that stuff!

I dont think that i can fit a piece of bogwood in its too narrow the gap...its the only downside! i can get some bogwood with plants attached though its only silm, which would fit!
