New Tank And Filter But Old Water

So i have decided to breed fish so i set up another tank with new internal filter but sand and water from an established tank.

I measure the Ammonia and nitrite levels 3 days later and they show good readings.

Am i missing some facts here?

Yep the bacteria dont live free swimming in the sand and the water, the bacteria live in the filter media.

You could trf 1/3 of your current old filter media into the new filter to help cycle quicker.
