Hi,
We have a 240l (65UK Gal) Juwel Rio 240 tank, with an Eheim pro2 filter.

We would like to have:

4 Angels
4 Keyholes
4 Rams (blue and golden pairs if poss)
2 plecos (small)

Is this over/under stocked?
Any help appreciated :good:

I'd say it was a bit over, but TBH I've not had keyholes so cant picture them in my head. I do have angels and rams and used to have a 60g tank, and I'd go for two of each instead ;) Then maybe a little shoal of some of the bigger tetras or smaller rainbows?

Should be fine, I'd be concerned what kind of plecs they are though?

going by the one inch of adult fish per gallon rule, going up to say one and a half in of fish if the tank is six or more months mature.

4 Angels. say 5" ea

4 Keyholes. say 5" ea

4 Rams (blue and golden pairs if poss) say 3" ea

2 plecos (small) say bnp, say 4" ea

total, say 60"

in a 65G tank i would think you are under what it could hold

i do have two keyholes in a tank with a koi angel and theres no probs at all.....keys are the most placid ive seen i also have a breeding pair of kribs who obviously get protective from time to time but alls great :good: so in my oppinion sounds good but as always you never know the personal temp of a fish :shout:

You can't really use the one inch per gallon rule with cichlids.

you can if they get on, but i take the good point you make. i would go with one pair of angels and one pair of rams. then there would be less infighting and give more room for other fish
