New Small Tank (22l)

I've got a 22l tank sat there waiting for use and didn't want another with fish in it nor inverts so I thought I could use it to grow some live food.

Daphnia was one idea.

Given this opportunity, which live food would you grow and cultivate?

I just leave a bucket outside for the daphnia colony they need high algae growth to feed upon so keeping them in an aquarium can be done but seems a bit pointless to me as you can't see in because of the algae. I think a terrarium or riparium would be nice to have in the corner.
