Checked the water tonight and its now between 1 and 2ppm Ammonia so hopefully things are starting to move

Have you tested for nitrites yet?

Hi folks, i've been flat out and not had time to get here on lately but we now have Ammonia being used up over a couple of days, Nitrite was at 0ppm yesterday but is now showing at around 0.5ppm and Nitrates are between 0 and 5.0ppm so hopefully won't be too long before we are doing a water change and adding our chosen fish

Most of the plant cuttings i added died off unfortunately (I bought these before reading up on here that it wasn't a good idea to plant a cycling tank) although the was a couple of hardier plants in there that are doing okay.

Fingers crossed it won't be much longer now!
