New Set Up

erhhhhhhhh!!!! the gravel its burning my eyes lol sand! its looks a million times better scatterd with a few river pebbles around the tank aswell

Good, but you really should have gotten 2 more Bronze Corydora... Oh well...

the store was all out :( but it said the same temperature range for peppers and bronze (even tho fish stores lie) so i got them anyway.

and they love the big plant and theres an air stone right at the side of it.. they love the bubbles.

but the little guys mostly like the fuzzy real plant in the middle :)

and i will get sand!!! EVENTUALLY lol, idk how to clean sand, so im a little afraid of having a dirty tank that i cant clean. so im going to get sand for my small tanks for practice first :)

Sand is very easy to clean just hover about mess with ur syphon and it picks it up or if need be stick it right in quickly its alot easyer than people think

Thats exactly what I thought when I first heard about it. But because the sand it compacted they waste just sits on top of the sand. All you need to do is hold the siphon a couple of inches above the sand and it lifts out all the waste. It isn't guaranteed that you won't lift any sand.

well thats why ill get sand for my ten gallon, and then if i feel ready.. ill put sand in the 33

edit : i also have an undergravel filter, so idk how that would go with sand.. and the sand it all just fall through would it not?

well its either sand or real small, smooth gravel...
if you choose sand, just remove the undergravel filter and buy two fluval 2 or higher filters one at each end and your tank will be fine :)

thats so much work.. lol would something like, pool filter sand work with an undergravel filter? because i know its larger grained than normal sand
