I noticed some new rocks on AE. Leapord stone, Light pagado stone and mini landscape rocks.
Has anyone had experience with these or some links to aquascapes which do use them?

I was thinking of getting some mini landscape rocks for my planted nano. Does anyone know roughly how large the rocks are and how many you recieve? I will e-mail AE however.

Also I was thinking of redmoor wood, I am planning to use this for my next medium sized jungle tank containing ferns, mosses and crypts. I was planning for this to be the centerpeice. Has anyone one used this and would you recommend it?

Cheers,

Thanks  got them from aquajardin over at J12 on the M5, near Gloucester. Excellent shop if you ever find yourself over that way. I think they are the same type of rock.

I just got a couple of pieces of redmoor wood from AE. You can see a pic of it in my tank HERE. It's still curing (as I was reliably informed on the forums) and it does need soaking as it won't sink initially. I have a smaller piece soaking for use in the future in a small tank that I may or may not set up. I also got some of the light pagoda stone which I will use in this tank. I am using some rounded pebbles in the current tank and it didn't look right with rounded rocks and the pagoda rock. I highly recommend the wood though but it's dear. It's a lot better than most of the standard bog wood you get online and in LFS'. I've got tonnes of it that I don't use!

Thanks,
Nice tank, the wood works well. I think I'll probably go for the wood then, I've heard other people have good results from other forums and if you recommend them then I'll give them a go. I like the pagoda stone, although I don't think it will suite my setup, maybe go for it in a future tank.

Cheers,
Mike
