I picked this guy up about a week ago. I really like him. Bought him as a panda garra, his scientific name is Garra flavatra. He's mabey 3" long and has been quite peaceful so far. And he's good at cleaning the tank, he caught my eye at the store. He kept following my finger on the glass. I like his fins a lot, his tail has a heart on it  . I'm going to need to get some more large leaved plants for him. He really likes the crypt I have in there.

very cool fish!! i have never seen one of those...some sort of algae eater??

anyway he realy goes well with your tank! the light spots are almost the same color as your plants

Garras are some of my favorite fish. I would get some pandas, but their price and lack of availability in the lfs put me off right now. Maybe later when I try planted tanks again.

Yours looks great, nice and healthy. :good: They are such characters!

oh wow that guy is really cool. If I see some I will be quite tempted to buy 1. I saw some at az gardens I beilive but it was a little differnt. Garra pinga or something like that. Which my lfs had a better selection of fish :/

Beautiful fish, i've never even heard of it, let alone seen one for sale!

wicked fish :D

looks kinda like an Oto crossed with a Bee.

He's colored up some more since I first got him. I'm thinking I may just have to get some more of them :shifty: . Here are some more pics of him. I took them right after a water change so there are bubbles on him in some pics.

He actually does look like a bee....

Very nice, my lfs gets them in but I'm wary of their aggression and slightly cooler high flow water requirements.
