New Planted Tank

I was thinking of setting up one of my tanks (depending on what the situation is) a planted tank.
Now I've got my fish chosen out for when this tank will come to be, but I'm still looking for some plants that I could use that would be super easy to take care of.
So far, I am thinking of getting some...
Java Moss
Dwarf Anubias
Giant Vallis
Water Sprite
These, so I've read need anywhere from 2+ Watts per gallon (get some new bulbs if needed), But is there any other special needs that these would actually need? Or are they able to just be put in and let grow?
Also, I'm looking for some either floating plants, or something that grows tall enough (12" or 18") to cover the top of the water. Any ideas??

Needing 2WPG+ is a very old hat suggestion these days. Most plants will grow under 1WPG of T8. All plants will grow under 2WPG of T5. Going any higher is asking for trouble unless you are highly experienced!!!.

This of course is assuming you have an average 20-50USG tank as you don't give this vital piece of info

The plants you state there will all grow under 1WPG T8 assuming the above.

Why are you wanting floating plants? These will block out the light.

lol, i knew i forgot something !
Well, I'm either going to put plants in my 10, or 30 gallon (most likely the 30 gallon)
and floating plants are basically just for looks, i could live without them, lol
