Excellent sharp shots :good: The colours on the peacock are super!
IS the new flash an off camera one?

thanks guys, nice to know everybody likes my fish as much as i do ;)

Liam - it's a nikon speedlight rather than the built-in, so on camera, but about 6 inches above the lens. The difference is huge, in my previous thread all the fish had glowing eyes

well be careful! they aren't all in the same tank, though I have similar elements in the tanks (driftwood, same silk plants). the taenia and the peacock would be a nice little snack for the bichir and - more likely because she's all stomach - the mogurnda goby.

So far the female taenia is a great little mom. She defends her clutch pretty seriously but the interesting thing is she seems to know which fish are more of a threat. if she so much as sees the male, she chases him around the tank, she goes after the peacock gobies if they're too close to her plant, and she only chases the gertrude's rainbows if they're too close to her chosen leaf. 'course the rainbows are more interested in one another than anybody else in the tank -lol-
