Resurrecting the Passion of Fishkeeping
Most of you know me from the frog section - -
my husband and I recently moved and the stress and chaos from moving the tanks, followed by Hurricane Irene knocking out our power for 3 days and us having a water advisory for over a week...well my husband went from "tolerating" my hobby to asking me to cut back...WAY BACK
Most of my frogs have or are being sold, the remaining few will be housed in my 30 gallon...all breeding is done. However I was allowed to keep the 72 up as a fish tank...emphasis on the fish lol
The one remaining fish from the power outage was my 5" fantail...
I had been wanting to set up a live bearer tank again (had guppies/platties in the past but have been wanting mollies)....
So I saw the silver lining and have finally bought some nice looking mollies.
In a 10 gallon cycled quarantine tank I have 7 new mollies
2 creamsicle lyretails (1M 1F)
2 silver mollies (2F)
3 orange/black panda lyretails (1M 2F)
and I am on the lookout for a nice dalmation or two.
They are settling right now, will bother them tomorrow with some pictures
In another 10 gallon quarantine tank I picked up another fantail to keep my current one company (I swear people laugh when I say this, but her "best friend" goldfish died as a result from the moving and hurricane stress....she has been so mopey since he passed)
