Laura..for many there is an urgency to add corals to their tank. They just HAVE TO HAVE a reef right away. Unfortunately, there IS a learning curve here. Corals are expensive and when they die, they can release toxins into your tank.
Take your time. Get a hang of running your tank. I would add your cleanup crew first...see how they do...then consider adding your fish and find out how you do with managing your nitrates. If you REALLY must put something in, check out some mushrooms or zoanthids, but, take your time. SH
the shrimp you have arent algae eaters, feed them regular fish food, flakes, frozen etc. Maybe once every other day, a little here and there.
Are they feeding yet?
Try to get them on mysis now that theyre eating brine as brine isnt nutritious at all.
The LFS should have it...usually they come in frozen cubes. Mysis shrimp.
