Fish guy told me that new life spectrum is better than tetra flakes, but new life says SINKING pellets and guppies likes the food above the surface of the water, and also if I feed new life spectrum to my guppies, is the tettra flakes still neccessary? Also the flakes I think are easier to handle and to control overfeeding

You can get the New Life Spectrum in the H2O flakes. Personally, my fish are thriving on them and I see nothing wrong with their flake food. I don't buy a huge container of them and opt for the smaller container so that the flake isn't old when I get to the bottom of the container. Another option which I'm considering is buying a larger container and separating into a few batches which then I will use my food vacuum sealer to suck the O2 out and then store the food in my cold room until needed. Good luck, your fish will do very well on the NLS food.

New Life Spectrum foods are great, pellets are easier to control food ammount than flakes are.

They do have a semi-floating pellet that is supposed to float a little longer and sink a little slower. I feed all my fish and all the top feeders at the shop I was running the sinking pellets, they will figure it out real fast.

No, when feeding NLS it is not necessary to feed another food (especially Tetra).

I looked online on both pets art and petco but they only have the sinking pellets, are the flakes available at either of these

Petsmart I mean

Pet smart I mean

I have not seen the NLS at any PetSmart (in Alberta, Canada). I can only find it at the specialty LFS in my city.

I can't either I might hav to try looking in my lfs but I don't think they have it becuz the store is crappy, dead fish, dark tanks and live fish eat dead fish, nightmare ughh

Yuck, seriously? I wouldn't even promote the store by buying anything from them. Stores like that should be shut down imo. I would just go online and buy the food, then it comes right to your door. :good:

Well I swear that I'm not buying their fishes, but they do have fish food, and i don't think the fish food is affected by the store, unless they open them up and put stuff in there

I buy a lot of my foods and dry goods from kensfish.com in Massachusetts, USA. He ships internationally via USPS. He carries NLS and currently lists 27 different NLS foods on his site plus his prices are great. If you drop him an email to enquire about ordering, tell him Chris aka TTA sent you.

Lol, no of coarse not, I just was saying that I personally wouldn't support a dodgy LFS at all. What you do is up to you.

Wat are u Chris a mafia boss or something lol Chris aka tta sent u lol

I'm interested. I have gouramis, cardinals, cichlids, and a goby. Which would be better? The community, the all purpose, or the cichlid mix?

Those all have the same formula. I would go with the Thera+A formula because of the extra garlic. Then you just have to pick the right size pellet. What cichlids do you have? What kind of goby? What kind of gouramis?

sorry I thought I changed my sig. to list them. pearl gouramis, peacock goby, dwarf flag cichlids, and cardinal tetras. Why is garlic good?
