New Life Spectrum Pellets

Garlic has anti-microbial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, which is why it is a popular additive in some foods.

really? that's really cool, didn't know that. Thanks StandbySetting, fishguy2727 :) I'll look into it

How do you guys feed sinking pellets to guppies without overfeeding? How do u know how much to feed

So about a pinch or two per meal? Is it good to feed two times a day or two meals and fast one day?

I think ideally minute amounts of food should be given throughout the day but this isn't realistic for many people. I feed 2 times per day and skip every 3rd day personally. You have to find what works best for you and the fish. Everyone has a different feeding schedule.

I think fasting is not a bad idea but then I don't want my fish to be hungry because just thinking about it breaks my heart, as long as I feed a little, it won't hurt for them to eat a pinch per meal rather than not eating at all

I know it seems like they would be going hungry but in the wild they may not get food everyday anyway. I feel like it lightens the bio-load a bit and is good for the water purity. Maybe this is a psychological thing but I also fast myself and feel very good after. I eat healthy food but sometimes a fast is rejuvenating. Plus, if you ever go away for a few days it's good for the fish to not be in so much of a regimented schedule so that they won't be bothered by not having food for a few days. That's just my thoughts on it though. If you feel like you will lose sleep and feel sick inside with worry about it then feed less and feed each day.

Well I don't want my fish to be fat so I'll decide, I'll probably let it eat some algae in the tank, algae can sometimes be gud for them

They will feed off the bottom just as well as they would off the top.

I recommend feeding with a measuring spoon so you cna see the exact amount you feed. Feeding a pinch will still vary. Feeding 1/4 or 1/8 teaspoon (or half a scoop of 1/8 tsp) is much more accurate. Simply watch how fast it is eaten (or how much is extra) and adjust accordingly.
