Im just setting up a Jewel 190, bought second hand last week. It will have an Aqua One 1250 external filter, a 100w and a 150w heater, not sure about the red gravel it came with yet but the boss likes it, may try half and half with sand.
It will eventually be stocked with;
1 Plec (came with the tank, I think my local shop will take it when it grows a bit)
1 Panda garra (came with the tank)
1 sucking loach
1 red tail shark
1 otocinclus
5 tiger barbs
2 leopard danios
2 zebra danios
2 cherry barbs
Some are from a tank that broke on me a couple of months ago and have been living in a 50 litre tank so the numbers may seem a little odd.
Comments and advice on numbers welcome.

Danios need to be in groups of 6+ and need tanks of around 4 feet+ on length as they are very active. Also don't add another red tail as they will fight. They need to be kept single. They also get more aggressive the bigger/older they get

I'd rehome the tiger barbs as they tend to be aggressive, as in very nippy towards other fish. Then I'd up the number of cherry barbs to 6+ as they need to be in larger groups. Up the number of oto's to 6 and I'd possibly rehome the danios as I think try may need longer tanks.

Red tail sharks should be kept in tanks of 55 gallons, around 250 gallon as they get aggressive as they get older. Not saying it won't work in a 190 but you will have to keep an eye on it
