New Horsefaced loach -- getting kind of red

Here'a picture of a new addition to my tank: a horsefaced loach. Upon arriving in his new home, he has developed some redness in both the gill area but then also near his tail area. I don't have the best camera, but I hope you can see what I mean from this pic. Has anyone seen this in their fish?

Could of been poor water quality at the lfs, also red on the gills can mean gill flukes is he heavy breathing, also red patches can be septicemia

Check your ammonnia / nitrogen / nitrate level now !!!

If its high do a 40% water change

Yes, he died -- I'm sad to report. Test reports on his tank were: Ammonia 0, Nitrites, 0, Nitrates 30-40 ppm. I will however do a massive waterchange anyway, for the ake of his fellows.
