But still cute. This is the weirdest color change I've ever seen!

My dad is still trying to get the webcam up.
I personally like his original colors better but I still love him the same.

Are you SURE that's the same fish?? :shout:

Edit: After checking out their finnage..... I am worried your dad is toying with you, maybe the old one died and he got a new one and thought you would figure he changed? I am not accusing him of it, but I am worried that this is what happened, as his finnage isn't even close to the same, his body shape is different.... everything about him is different... and I've NEVER heard of such a dramatic change in colour AND pattern.

Sorry to tell you this but I agree with chrissi it has to be a different fish!

Here's a side-by-side comparison....
betta.jpg

Notice how his eyes are different. His body is shaped differently. He did not seem to be a marble, and yet, his pattern has changed, he's marbled. His fins are shaped differently.

It might be possible for him to change that much... but I honestly don't see how.

His fins look ALOT healthier and not curling up in the new pic vs. the old pic. The eyes gave it away for me.
P.S sorry if your other fish died.

Well, I was wondering about the eyes too. It's highly unlikley he's lieing. He's the type to call and say, "Your fish died. Do you want another the same color or different?" He's been really honest about snakes escaping in the winter.
1. We had the "If he dies, TELL ME" descussion
2. His body shape looks the same to me
3. His dorsal fin is placed far back in these pictures too.
4. He had spots on his top fin when it was blue and he still has the same spots
5. He looked pretty bad when we bought him but now he's in a 10 gal with lots of natural light so I just though he healed.
He looks really weird in this picture but I trust my dad, he used to breed fish

I really hope he made it.

Well I'm not gonna call anyone a liar but I HIGHLY doubt that is the same fish I don't see anyway it could be and I will end it at that.

I just had a thought, I was very very close to buying a fish really close to the color of the pictures he sent me but I got him instead. When I reilized this I thought he did replace Fusion, but then I saw his eye in the new picture. My dad is good with photoshop but I've never known him to do something like that! He knows I'm going to see the fish when I go visit in a few months and he also knows I'm the one to notice things like that, I did within a day of buying the fish.

:grr: maybe n mad evil genius switched them over night and is trying to clone him and make an ary of bettas to kill us all!!!!!!!!!! :grr:

OR maby its just a different fish!!

(i forgot to take my meds today.)
i need to call my shrink LOL

Definitely not the same fish. Look at the length of the tail, and the condition of the anal fin. The eyes as well. It's possible for a fish to have a very dramatic change in color, but not in all these other ways.

what do you guys mean, "look at the eyes"? What am I supposed to be seeing in the eyes?
