I recieved a shipment of 6 Zaire Moba blues (3"-4"), 2 Bismarck blues (about 2"), and a 10" wild caught Burundi.

I am going to try to upload some pics, The Mobas and Bismarcks are in a 40 corner usg with two 4" Lake Tanyanika Synos. (I don't know what species the Synos are, but they are suppose to stay under 5".)

The Burundi is in a 50 usg 36" L, 15" W and tall. He is still very shy and runs for his pot when he sees me move toward him.

Both tanks have Briggsi Apples, Malaysian Trumpets, and Ramshorns Snails. Two pygmy cories that I could never catch were still surviving last week in the Blues' tank.

I am feeding them all on California blackworms, Spectrum sinking pellets, and Tetra Pro Tropical Crisps. The Burundi has gotten spoiled on the blackworms after 4 days. I don't give him the Tetra Crisps because the filter blows them around too much, and they get into places he's too big for.

These frontosas are the legacy of the save, Meyer. None can compare to Meyer's grandure, though. I miss him. We have finally concluded that he was probably older and succumbed to a heart attack. His last days were happy.

I am try to upload to photobucket on a dialup. It is slow. It has taken two hours to upload two pics and waiting on three more. There are a couple more after that. I will be lucky if I get this done tonight.

So I am going to post this and follow with what I can get loaded a little later.

Here's the Blues' tank:

Here are some poor pixs of the Burundi. He runs for his pot when I move toward him. He is very shy. I had also just done a water change.

No sign of her; I think I'll go take a look.

Yeah, I know they have to be upgraded. They will take awhile to get to 14". haha I usually hear 12" maximum for aquarium fronties and 14" possible in the wild. Right now there are 8 fronties under 4" (some under 2") in 40 usg. I will either find them homes or find a way to upgrade them. I am racking my brain, but I feel sure I will have an answer before it gets critical.

The blues are grouping for the chance of food in the pics. They come right up to get fed and are not a bit shy like the Burundi.

I think the Burundi is cute, too. He has such an expressive face.

But the Mobas are stunning.

thatll be one hell of an upgrade to house all them fish!

not doing the usual pick on people cos they havent the rite aquarium for there fish thing, im jus thinkin about how bigger tank you would need for all of them!! lol

What do you think? Do you think 150 USG would keep some of them? I was thinking that I would see if I might be lucky enough to get at least one female from them. Then I could reduce the community and perhaps trade off for an alpha male. The Bismarcks would have to be separated. I am really out of my depth here. I have a hundred usg community tank, but I like my little fishies and the variety.

It is too complex for me to figure out now. But I thought a sump would extend the size of the tank.

well they reckon 2 oscars need a 120 gallon tank so i guess u could keep maybe 4 in a 150G.

im not the most experienced person here so i cant say for sure but im jus guessing with what applies to other fish of similar size.

i know what u mean with not wanting to do anything with your 100g.

I jus got the 3ft tank listed below and i wanted to move the bigger fish from that into my 80G and some from that to the smaller 3ft.

jus cant do it tho lol. all my fish in the 80G are happy and healthy the way they are!
