i bought new food for my betta that turned out to be way smaller than the pellets i was already feeding him, so my question is, how much should i feed him now?

the new pellets are on the left in the picture below, while his older pellets are on the right.

my boy has been acting very hungry since i switched and im worried im not feeding him enough but im also aware that overfeeding is a problem too. would love to have some opinions! thankyou for the help!!

A tiny pinch with the tips of your finger is plenty once a day. I have a school of 12 corydoras pygmaeus and feed a food similar in size. I take a tiny pinch as I just mentioned and it often turns out to be way more than I need. Ideally for my 12 fish I would drop in maybe 20ish pellets but I still tend to overfeed with the smallest of pinches. For a single Betta, 5-10 pellets a day is plenty

A tiny pinch
How much is a tiny pinch?

I suggest you give him 4 pellets to start with, after he has eaten check his abdomen it should be slightly rounded.
