Hey everybody

I bought some new fishes today for my empty 20 gallon.

I bought 6 clown loaches. All small loaches that are 1". Clown Loaches grow pretty slow so i would be able to keep them in there until at least their about 2-3 inches. and i also bought a 1 inch oscar. I know oscars grow really large so I already have a tank ready for them once he gets bigger. Its a Tiger oscar

I had the fishes about a week now. They all seem so happy and the tiger gets along with all my clowns very very well. I hope they grow up together friendly

im sorry but you are a moron
oscatrs grow fast clown loaches may be slow growers but they need lots of space why buy fish with the intention of rehomeing them you need to get rid of them now to more suitable tanks and do some research

Assuming the tanbk you have ready is over 150 gallons you could keep this mix together however the problem will come from the differing growth rates. The Oscar should reach around a foot in about a year - the clowns are much slower growers and in six months time they will be too small to be safe with your teenage Oscar.

They do need moving to a larger tank ASAP - clowns just don't grow right in small tanks and I wouldn't put juvies in less than a 75g
The 20g will do for obligatory three week quarantine though.

100% agree with you on this one buying big fish to go in small tanks only to be moved later on is not good ..... :/ :/

why not just stick them all in the bigger tank until the oscar gets a bhnch bigger than the loaches? last post for today, woooo, 2 hours of slep, here i come

I cannot put them in bigger tanks right away because like I said, they are ONLY 1 inches, their gonna be fish food if i put them in a bigger tank. i was gonna wait till they just get an inch or two bigger to get it in a big tank
