new fish

ok so nearlyall the fish in my 15gl tnak have died! they are only 3 guppies, and 6 silver tips in there with a couple of otos

any ideas what i could add to bring a spalsh of colour??/

a white spot outbreak which now seems to be nder control i wont be adding them for a week or so yet just to be sure, longer if people think i am still v new to all this

u had though of moving the gups and silcer tips out and having a betta and some haliquins?

Zebra otos should add some colour with the other otos you have (if you can find them near you...Trimar sometimes carry them).

Harlequins have some nice colour, or, if you have the room a small school of Blue Tetras would look nice. Else GReen line Rasboras, and they only grow to around an inch.

Ich is caused by stress ... overstocking stresses fish out. If you say almost all your fish died, and that's what you still have left ... you must have been way overstocked.

6 silver tipped tetras at 1.2 inch each, makes 7.2 inches of fish
3 guppies at 2 inches each, adds another 6 inches to that

That together already makes it 13.2 inches. Your tank can keep up to 15 inches of fish without getting overstocked. Add a couple of ottos to that, and you're over your limits. I'd not advice adding anything. Specially not a whole shoal of fish

guppies are no more then a inch long and i have had for a good while 6 months now, also silver tips are no more tehn an inch, i would only add a shcoal of harliquins if i got rid of the others, by get rid of mean move to the larger tank.

guppies 2" ? never.....
An inch if anything absolute max.
Obviously only body size is measured and no tails.

yes ICH is probably mainly caused by stress, but I've also found when adding a singular (small) fish, that it caused an outbreak.

What did you treat the ICH with ? Did you follow dosing instructions precisely ? I'd wait until I'm absolutely sure that everything is stable and the water conditions top.

yeah i followed exectly i am going to wait a few more weeks yet say til start of ayg to make sure everything is ok
