I would like to introduce some slightly larger fish to my tank but dont know what will mix well

Would torpedo Barbs or tinfoil barbs be ok or are they too aggressive?

Is it this aquarium?

30G Planted

2 x Lyretail Molly
1 x Dalmation Molly
6 x neon tetra
6 x glowlite tetra
6 x Black Ruby Barbs

I'm not oo sure if I'm correct but I'm pretty sure the tinfoil barbs will grow to large for you tank because they grow to 35cm (13 1/4 inch) and it's best to keep this fish in a shoaling group so... it sounds a bit much to me.

I don't know anything about the torpedo barbs though...sorry

Yeah thats the tank.

I would just like 1 or 2 fish that are just a bit bigger but haven't got a clue?

I'm open to any suggestions.

Working on the rough guidline that the foot print of the tank should be 4x the length of the fish long by 1.5x the length of the fish wide the largest fish you could keep in your tank would have to have a maximum size of 8", which rules out tinfoil barbs which get to around 14".
The torpedo barbs (Crosocheilus denisoni) could work but remember these are a schooling fish that need to be kept in groups of 3 or more.

You might look into a pair of dwarf gourami (Colisa lalia), or something that's a bottom-dwelling fish, such as a pair of small loaches or a possibly something like a single, young bristlenose catfish.

I do have to say that I am very hesitant about recommending that you add any fish to the tank, as I suspect that adding any number of slightly larger fish to the group of fish that already you have might create problems (namely overstocking; that is, more rapid deterioration of water quality, necessitating more frequent water changes and tank cleaning, adversely affecting the health and happiness of the tank inhabitants).

If anything I would consider not adding new fish, or adding a few corydoras catfish. Or, getting a new tank for some larger species... :)
