Nice group! :good:

I have Corys and Cardinals , Cardinals are one of my favourites. I have 18 Neon tetras and 15 Neon Cardinals in my tank.

Great news dude. I got my Salousi fry today as well. Had to travel for over an hour and a half but it was worth it. Their so small at the moment the tank still looks quite empty lol.

Can't wait to see some pics of your setup with fish in.

well a few pics now the fish are in and loving it!
The corys are mad and theres not a spare cm of sand that they have left un 'dabbled'

Lovely fish, some of my favorite corys :) How is that bogwood staying upright!

magic ! no it just stands up 5 long branch offshoots that make it rock solid, what you can see on the front acouple of the spurs go under the sand a few inches- great bit of wood took me weeks to find it, i knew what i wanted in my head but finding it was another matter.

yea the corys are great, so much character already, love the bright Cardinals too..this is only half my stocking so far!

' visit enough LFS and you are bound to find what your looking for!'

I think you have made me want cardinals! Now I have to rethink everything! :shout:

It's all good though, I was starting to wonder if I shouldn't just stick with the egg layers. The fish just need to be colorful, and playful. That's why I like livebearers, but I don't want to be overrun why fry. These two varieties together look great! I definitely am going to have to consider this as a starting point for stocking my tank eventually.

hide the heater behind the bogwood will make it much better :)

Speaking of the heater, is that the Fluval M in your signature? I didn't think that was fully submersible! I have one too (200W) and it has two lines at the top - which I believe I see in your picture - that say the water needs to be between those levels. Maybe I am misunderstanding my heater. When I get home, I am going to have to have a closer look.

well i have had it submerged for 32 days and no problems, my rationale was if you look in the instructions it shows diagrams of placement of heater, one of which is in the horizontal position (under water)with a big 'tick' next to it, however looking at Fluvals website they advocate it as a sealed unit ' for increased water protection' ,i dunno maybe i shoud re-position it to the water line as indicated.
Also if you look at the heater the water line on it says ~~~MIN~~~ not max.

so we have a contradiction by Fluval in both advertising and instructions!
email time i think for a proper decision!

Haha result regarding M series heaters, it seem the packaging and labeling was due to canadian laws, the heater is fully submersible

Well, I guess that clears up part of the issue - the heater is fully submersible. I thought it was, based on the description I saw on fosterandsmith, which is why I bought it. Then I read the reviews and there were conflicting reports on their reviews. 2 said no, 1 said yes. The yes was the most recent, so I believed that. Then I got it and I saw the "max" line on it. So, then I just assumed that the yes was mistaken, and I bought the wrong heater. That said, I figured it was a mistake I could live with. I am glad that it is fully submersible.
