So from this bit, it really is a colour morph of C. aeneus then... kinda? A sub-type of C. aeneus that is now categorised as C. schultzeei?
I have no idea what sub-type my bronze cories might even be, so is it bad if my black venezeulans even did interbreed with them?

Corydoras schultzeei and C. venezuelanus are not distinct species, but taxonomically the names are considered synonyms of C. aeneus (Nijssen & Isbrücker 1980, Isbrücker 2001, Reis in Reis et al. 2003, Ferraris 2007, Litz & Koerber 2014, Mirande & Koerber 2015, Koerber et al. 2017, and Ohara et al. 2016). Kept in the same aquarium, any of these are likely to spawn since phylogenetically they are the same species.
