I am getting a new 48" 18" 24" tank.
I already know I am putting bristlenose and a Pictus in there, But what else?
I prefer catfish so i am trying to make it a catfish aquarium :D
any ideas?

As your in Australia you are going to be quite limited to what fish you can have, i can suggest pleanty but i doubt you will be able to find any of them because of Australias strict import laws. A better idea would be to see what you can get your hands on and then see if they are suitable.

i bet you were laughing out lound when you typed that CFC

Anyway, in Australia, don't expect to find anymore catfish other than, Sailfin plecs, common plecs, bristlenose, a small selection of syno's, pictus and a few whiptails. As well as cory's. If you find anything else, consider yourself lucky!

Note, i may have missed afew in the list above, it's late and i need some sleep

Will a 3" Pictus get along with neon tetras?

No, but neon tetras will get inside a pictus cat

Pictus cats are predators by nature and will eat any fish which they can fit into their rather large mouths, all tankmates must be at least 3 inches to avoid becoming late night snacks for hungry pictus cats. Also may i suggest you get at least 3 pictus cats, they are a lot more active and happier when kept as a group.
