You haven't given much information about whether its on a stand, what the stand is made of and the like. Its very important to get a tank as level as possible and to ensure that the entire bottom supporting surface of the tank is completely smooth and without irregularities. I had a tank bread recently due to a particle board stand receiving a few drops of water, swelling at that spot and lifting near one corner of the tank. As a result of that corner being raised a small bit, the bottom cracked and water began leaking out into the room.
If the bottom of your stand is a solid area, you can be safer in your lifting by spreading the weight over a larger area. Often, in a large hardware type store, you can find sheets of vinyl like they use for floor tiles or for edging at the bottom of walls near the floor. You can get this with a side that sticks after you peel the backing paper off of it. With this you can cut a piece of vinyl to fit the bottom of one side of the stand and if necessary, stick more than one layer to raise it higher, if you get the idea.
Of course I don't have any idea whether this might apply to your situation, but you see the kind of thinking,
