New Filter ?

I have just added another filter to my tank and was wondering how long will it take to mature, im going to keep the old filter in the tank for a while, i seeded the new filter will the old one.. ie squeezing the water of the old media on to the new media ..

difficult to say, I seeded a new filter from an older mature filter, & I would say my fishless cycle took around 3/4wks

You would have been better to take 1/3 of the media from the old filter and add it to the new, take what you took from your old filter and replace it with new media, then seeding is properly done, and i would say after a week youd be fully mature.
