New Filter?

Hi all,

I added a new 2000lph internal filter to tank today.
Just wanted to check that iv done things right.
I rinsed all old media in old tank water and stuffed them in the bottom compartment and left the new media in top compartment. Does this mean I am still cycled? Water is looking a little cloudy atm.
Do I need to add anything to water, eg ammolock or nitrite safe etc!
Are daily water changes needed for the next week or so?

Sounds ok to me. I would have just put the media in the filter rather than rinse it in the tank. That's why the water is cloudy i suspect. Water changes daily will innevitably help any slight issues you may encounter.

tanks 170L.

this morning the tanks even more cloudy?! water tests ok though?!

What substrate is it? If the filter is that powerful are you sure its not just blasting it around?
