Just bought a trigon 190 without an filter so I need to purchase one the question is which one? a internal or external, I wont to run for and cycle it for while I'm deciding what fish to put in it....

I would recommend a fluval 305 external canister filter

Fluval 306 or 406. Hardly worth going for th older model Fluval, might save you a bit to buy it but seeing as they are no longer made, in a year or two they will stop selling all the spares for them too. The spares for the new ones do differ.

Or an EFX 300 or 400, an Eheim of some kind of a Tetratec 1200.
